NCIZ presents investment opportunities at Bulgaria-Hungary business forum

The National Company Industrial Zones EAD presented the potential of its industrial areas in terms of investment opportunities at a Bulgaria-Hungary business forum which took place in Kecskemét, Hungary and brought together business and institutions representatives from both countries.

The event was organized by the Regional Trade and Industry Chamber of region Bach-Kishkun, John von Neumann University in Kecskemét and Ms. Nevena Stoyanova, commercial advisor at the Bulgarian Embassy in Budapest.

Yana Mladenova, Director of Business Development and Projects at NCIZ stressed on the competitive advantages of the state industrial zones, offering modern infrastructure, strategic locations and favourable business environment for high-tech manufacturing development. “The industrial zones of NCIZ can become a bridge between the Bulgarian and Hungarian economies. They combine the geostrategic advantages of Bulgaria with the opportunities for high-tech and sustainable investments.”, said Y. Mladenova.

The Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry D. Barbalov also took part in the forum. He emphasized that Hungary is one of Bulgaria's key trade and investment partners. In 2024 bilateral trade reached €2.29 billion, with Bulgarian exports amounting to €587 million, marking a growth of over 4%, while for the first five months of 2025, trade amounted to €990 million.
